Dongwookie also explains that the Korean way of saying Happy new year means that you hope the other person will receive blessings in the new year. DJ asks him who his good friends are in the entertainment industry and he says Big Bang, 2ne1 and others from YG. He also says that Rain is a good friend who he knew from high school.
He says that Rain is 2 years old than me and that during their high school days they would dance during the lunch break. He explains that his high school was a performing arts high school. He also talks about how knew GD and YB from 10 years ago and used to dance with them at the YG studios. DJ asks whether he’s been to noraebang/karaoke with Rain and he says yes, but that was after they had grown up, during high school they didnt really have time. When asked what memories he had from high school, he said secretively that there were lots of secrets that he couldnt reveal. He said that in high school, Rain had a very cool image, very straightforward and serious. Rain worked very hard and always practised and practised.
Then the DJ asked him about his experience in the US and he said that he had to learn to live by himself and had to consider many things. He felt alot of things that he had never felt and that overall it was a good experience. He did feel lonely though but because it was his dream, and he got to work with many outstanding people.
In the US, he felt that people were more laid back and relaxed. People thought mroe freely and work did not seem like work, but rather it felt he was playing. It was fun and it had a ‘hip hop feel’ to it. He learnt many things through this experience and it helped him grow.
About other countries that he wants to visit, he says he wants to go to Vietnam because he hasnt been there and also the Philippines.
For the song he was to introduce, he picked 1tym’s One Love. The song is from 1998 and a bit old but he still likes it alot. He watched alot of 1tym’s performances when he was younger and Teddy nowadays writes lots of songs for him as well as the rest of YG. One Love was the first song that Teddy wrote.
Dongwookie says he hasnt set himself any goals for 2012 yet, he likes to concentrate on doing different things as the same time. He will be releasing albums in Japan and Korea this year. He thanks his fans for waiting for him for 4 years and wants to be able to meet them up close.
The DJ asks where he learnt his Japanese and he says he didnt learn it [LOL] but picked up lines from watching TV and talking to people and slowly got better at it.
He introduced Somebody else and said [jokingly] that the song is for his fans because he hasnt seen them for 4 years. That after 4 years, some have left him for somebody else. He says laughing, watch out lucky se7en, dont change your heart, I wont forgive you! haha
After Somebody else was played, he used more of the chinese phrases he knew, like “I like it!” and “Hello i’m se7en, nice to meet you.”
They talked about the upcoming YG concert in Japan again and said that he couldnt wait to see his fans.
